About Misted Roots

Growing a Movement

Misted Roots began with a simple question: Why doesn’t food taste the way it used to?


For years, I struggled with flavorless fruits and vegetables that lacked nutrients yet kept rising in cost. My personal health journey with healing chronic pain through clean eating made me look deeper. What I discovered was a broken food system, one that had traded flavor and health for convenience and scale.


At first, my answer was bold. I set out to build a large indoor vertical farm in Colorado. I invested years of research and financial commitments into controlled environment agriculture (CEA), hydroponics, and lighting technology. I built financial models, studied yields and flavor profiles. I developed partnerships with Michelin-starred restaurants, schools, consumer supported agriculture (CSA), farmers markets, and local grocery stores. The vision was strong, but the financial reality was steep requiring millions in startup capital to launch.


Rather than let that stop me, I chose to evolve.


Today, Misted Roots is focused on bringing indoor farms directly to the people. Instead of one massive facility, I now design, distribute, and educate homeowners and businesses to have grow rooms and grow walls for homes, restaurants, resorts, and hotels. These systems make it possible to harvest flavorful, pesticide-free produce right where people live, gather, and eat.


This pivot wasn’t a step back, it was a step forward. By working directly with individuals and businesses, I can create immediate impact by restoring flavor, supporting health, and making clean food accessible year-round.


Misted Roots was never just about farming. It has always been about healing, connection, and building a movement where food once again serves its true purpose to nourish both people and the planet.


Beyond grow rooms and grow walls, I also help families and businesses make the most of what they grow. Through pantry audits, personalized crop guidance, and teaching how to cook flavorful, nutrient-rich meals, our community of customers will truly enjoy the fresh produce they grow and harvest.
